Summer at the Seattle Center

If you are ever travelling to Seattle this summer, here is one event you should look for. In conjuction with KEXP, a local public radio station is offering free concerts at the Mural for three hours every Friday for four weeks. So if you like local independent music, then this is a place to check out. In addition, while you are at Seattle Center, there are other events that will be taking place. Last year, that venue hosted over 500 events.
On Labor Day weekend every year, there is a renowned music festival called Bumbershoot with mainstream and independent artists performing in Seattle Center. In 2008, attendance was at 68,000! So if you love to listen to jams, I would highly suggest checking out Seattle Center this summer, packed with musically related events to choose from.
And if you are ever bored, there are a variety of cool restaurants nearby that will satisfy any stomach. Have fun!
